Private patients: If it is not possible for you to attend an appointment that has previously been arranged, please contact the practice and we will re-arrange it for a time that is convenient for you.
NHS patients: If it is not possible for you to attend an appointment that has previously been arranged, please contact the practice and we will re-arrange it for the next available time with your orthodontist or dentist. To ensure that all of our patients are treated fairly and equitably, and to ensure that we are able to offer NHS funded treatments to as many people as possible, we have a policy to manage patients who fail to attend appointments. If you fail to attend two new patient appointments, or two review appointments, and do not notify us in advance, then you will not be able to receive treatment with us. Patients who are wearing braces and are in treatment who have a record of poor attendance are putting their oral health at risk. Orthodontists can decide to discontinue treatment due to poor cooperation and in this case no further appointments will be offered. NHS rules stipulate that patients are only entitled to one course of treatment.
